Police seek zebra who escaped during transport

Police were able to secure three of the four horse and the search for the last one is ongoing.

NORTH BEND, Wash.-A single zebra continues to elude capture in Western Washington.

Three of the four zebras that managed to escape from a trailer on I-90 on the afternoon of April 28 have been caught.

According to KING 5 reporting on the runaway animals, the last zebra was reportedly spotted in North Bend on Monday, April 29, but King County officials suspended their search without tracking the striped runaway down and will resume the search on Tuesday, April 30.

Animal control officers will be patrolling the North Bend area throughout the week until the last zebra is found.

Anyone who sees the zebra is asked to call 911, but not to approach it and risk spooking the animal.

The other three zebras have made it safely to the Spokane area on their way to Montana, according to KING's reporting.
