WALLA WALLA, Wash.-A Walla Walla High School teacher has been placed on administrative leave due to sexual misconduct allegations.

The male teacher was placed on paid leave on the morning of April 26 when the district became aware of the allegations regarding a female adult after receiving a tip through its Online Tip Reporting System, according to Walla Walla Public Schools.

The district reportedly received the tip about a "non-student related matter" around 10:30 a.m., according to Dr. Mindy Meyer, Director of Human Resources with WWPS.

City and County law enforcement were notified of the allegations and the district is reportedly cooperating in the investigation.

According to Sergeant Nick Loudermilk with Walla Walla PD, the department was made aware of the allegations on April 25 and began investigating.

The investigation is open and ongoing and no arrests have been made at this point concerning the allegation, according to Sergeant Loudermilk.
